Junior Security Analyst

About the role

As a Junior Security Analyst at Sedara, you will support the 24x7 Security Operations Center by monitoring security alerts, analyzing logs, and assisting with incident response. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on experience in cybersecurity and a pathway for professional growth.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and analyze logs from SIEM and other security tools.
• Assist in incident response, including initial triage and documentation.
• Support vulnerability assessments and penetration testing activities.
• Conduct basic threat analysis and help gather threat intelligence.
• Participate in security awareness training and exercises.
• Collaborate with team members to develop and implement security improvements.

• Basic understanding of network protocols, security principles, and operating systems.
• Familiarity with security monitoring concepts such as IDS, IPS, and endpoint protection.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a commitment to confidentiality.

Required skills

• Knowledge of SIEM tools (e.g., AlienVault, LogRhythm, FortiSIEM).
• Experience with EDR solutions (e.g., Carbon Black, CrowdStrike).
• Understanding of firewalls, vulnerability management, and intrusion detection systems.
• Endpoint security experience (anti‑virus, encryption, device management, patching).
• Familiarity with DNS usage in corporate environments.
• Basic knowledge of operating system security configuration.
