Junior Cybersecurity Analyst

About the role

The Junior Cybersecurity Analyst will serve as the frontline of Iron Bow Technologies' security operations, monitoring and responding to incidents across government, healthcare, and commercial environments. You will work closely with operation captains, leadership, and incident response teams to protect critical assets.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in security incident response investigations to resolve computer network defense (CND) incidents.
• Collect, track, and document CND incidents from detection through resolution.
• Analyze log files from hosts, proxies, network traffic, firewalls, and IDS to identify threats.
• Perform incident triage, assess scope, urgency, and impact, and recommend remediation actions.
• Handle real‑time CND tasks such as intrusion correlation, threat analysis, and system remediation.
• Receive and analyze alerts, determine root causes, and communicate findings to customers.
• Respond to customer requests and provide support for security‑related issues.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of general IT experience.
• CompTIA Security+, Network+ or A+ certification.
• Understanding of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS and how they enable network communication.
• Knowledge of CND policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.
• Familiarity with various attack classes and intrusion detection methodologies.
• Experience with incident response processes and security event correlation tools.

Required skills

• CompTIA Security+, Network+ or A+.
• TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS.
• Log analysis of host, proxy, network traffic, firewall, and IDS logs.
• Intrusion detection and correlation techniques.
• Incident triage and remediation.
• Understanding of common security threats such as buffer overflows, cross‑site scripting, SQL injection, race conditions, and malicious code.
