Java Developer V – Full‑time in Cincinnati

About the role

The Java Developer V will work on Java/Java EE applications, covering the full software development lifecycle from concept and design through testing and deployment. This full‑time, onsite position is based in Cincinnati, OH and requires strong communication and technical expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Define site objectives by analyzing user requirements and envisioning system features.
• Design and develop user interfaces for internet/intranet applications, setting priorities throughout the development lifecycle.
• Determine design methodologies, select tool sets, and complete programming using Java and related technologies.
• Design and conduct tests, and troubleshoot development and production issues across multiple environments.
• Support users by creating documentation and assistance tools.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience designing and developing applications on Java EE platforms.
• Strong object‑oriented analysis and design skills using common design patterns.
• Excellent knowledge of relational databases, SQL and ORM technologies such as JPA2 and Hibernate.
• Experience with the Spring Framework and at least one web framework (JSF, Wicket, GWT, Spring MVC).
• Proficiency in Java J2EE and Hibernate.
