IT Support Technician – Full-Time

About the role

Safe Air Technology, a fast‑growing manufacturer of mission‑critical explosion‑proof HVAC systems, is seeking an IT Support Technician to provide day‑to‑day technical assistance across its office, engineering and production sites in Baton Rouge.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, phones, tablets and other company equipment.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, email, VPN and user access issues.
• Set up and deploy computers, monitors, phones and peripherals for new hires and existing staff.
• Support onboarding and off‑boarding processes, including account creation, password resets, permission changes and equipment tracking.
• Maintain and support Microsoft 365 applications such as Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, Excel and SharePoint.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of IT assets and technology equipment.
• Assist employees with ERP and production software access.
• Resolve Wi‑Fi, printer and network connectivity problems throughout the facility.
• Support conference‑room technology, TVs, Teams meetings and presentation equipment.
• Assist with cybersecurity best practices, including MFA, password policies and antivirus updates.
• Document support requests, recurring issues and resolutions; aid software rollouts and upgrades.

Required profile

• 1+ years of IT support or help‑desk experience (preferred).
• Experience with Windows environments and Microsoft 365.
• Basic understanding of networking, printers and user account management.
• Strong customer‑service and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple support requests.
• Professionalism, dependability and confidentiality.
• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment is a plus.
• Associate degree or technical certifications are a plus but not required.
