IT Support Engineer

About the role

Clay is scaling its IT function rapidly and needs a dedicated engineer to be the first point of contact for internal technology requests. You will deliver fast, reliable support while helping to design the processes that will power the helpdesk as the company grows.

Key responsibilities

• Tri­age and resolve incoming tickets covering access, software provisioning, onboarding/offboarding, hardware support and general help‑desk needs.
• Own the end‑to‑end onboarding and off‑boarding workflow, provisioning accounts, coordinating hardware and ensuring seamless transitions.
• Partner with the Head of IT to configure and improve the AI‑powered ITSM platform, defining request categories, building intake workflows and managing queues.
• Maintain office technology, including conference‑room AV, networking equipment and peripherals, to keep daily work uninterrupted.
• Administer the core SaaS stack (Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, Notion), handling user provisioning, settings management and overall hygiene.
• Coordinate device logistics – provisioning, shipping, receiving and basic asset tracking.
• Document processes, identify recurring patterns and propose automation to make the helpdesk smarter over time.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in IT support, help‑desk or a closely related role.
• Strong service‑delivery instincts with the ability to keep queues clean and communicate clearly.
• Hands‑on experience configuring and managing an ITSM platform.
• Broad SaaS administration experience across Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, Notion and similar tools.
• Familiarity with office technology such as conference‑room AV, Meraki networking equipment and common peripherals.
• Proven track record supporting full onboarding and off‑boarding workflows.
• Technical fluency with macOS and basic identity‑and‑access‑management tasks.
