IT Security Analyst

About the role

The IT Security Analyst provides security operations coverage and platform administration within the Information Security team. The role involves daily monitoring of tickets, alerts and incidents, as well as maintaining and optimizing security applications.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor security tickets, alerts and incidents on a daily basis.
• Maintain and optimize various security applications and platforms.
• Collaborate with IT Server, Network, Desktop, Application teams and external vendors to implement security controls.
• Coordinate rollout of changes to resolve complex issues affecting the environment.
• Provide rotating on‑call coverage (one week at a time).

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in information systems or related field (preferred) or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 1 year of IT experience, preferably in desktop support or a similar role.
• Awareness of cybersecurity and privacy principles, threats, vulnerabilities and remediation.
• Valid Massachusetts driver’s license may be required.
• Relevant security certifications are a plus.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills in English.
• Ability to handle confidential information and troubleshoot or escalate computer problems.
• Experience interacting with medical staff under difficult conditions.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and PC hardware.
• Self‑motivated, eager to learn new technologies and work effectively in a team.
