IT Operations Engineer

About the role

Clay is scaling rapidly and needs an experienced professional to own and operate the core IT systems that keep the organization reliable and compliant. This role sits between the IT Support Team and the Systems Engineer, focusing on operational excellence rather than ticket resolution.

Key responsibilities

• Own and improve the MDM solution for macOS (Jamf Pro/Iru) and manage the smaller Windows footprint.
• Maintain the CMDB and IT asset management (ITAM) data, ensuring accurate reconciliation with IdP and HR systems.
• Manage vendor contracts, renewals, license true‑ups, and hardware procurement processes.
• Support SOC 2 and ISO 27001 compliance by handling off‑boarding, access reviews, and evidence collection.
• Administer and govern the SaaS stack, including Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, and related provisioning and access hygiene.

Required profile

• 6‑8+ years of experience in IT operations, systems, or infrastructure roles.
• Proven track record of operating IT systems at scale and building durable processes.
• Hands‑on experience with macOS MDM tools (Jamf Pro or Iru) and basic Windows MDM.
• Deep familiarity with Okta administration, application integrations, and access management.
