IT Functional Analyst – Laboratory Operations & Digital Solutions

About the role

Applied Materials seeks an experienced Functional Analyst to support critical laboratory operations systems and digital solutions across global engineering, research and manufacturing labs. The role partners with business stakeholders, laboratory teams and IT to deliver enhancements, process improvements and operational support.

Key responsibilities

• Support enterprise laboratory workflow management solutions and translate business needs into functional specifications.
• Coordinate user acceptance testing, production deployments and incident management.
• Provide functional coordination for mobile devices, tablets, printers and barcode technologies used in labs.
• Assist with laboratory equipment automation, integration and security compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years as a Functional Analyst, Business Analyst or Application Analyst supporting enterprise applications.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working with global, cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Agile methodologies and Jira.
• Asset management, workflow and inventory tracking systems.
• Mobile device solutions, printers, barcode technologies and peripheral integrations.
• Enterprise integration concepts involving ERP or operational systems.
