IT EUC Workstation/Client Architect

About the role

The IT EUC Workstation/Client Architect will lead the design and delivery of a secure, standardized, and scalable Windows client environment for 3M. Working within the End User Computing (EUC) organization, you will collaborate with global teams to modernize the workstation platform and ensure compliance with enterprise security standards.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own the client architecture for workstation platforms, endpoint management, and security controls.
• Implement solutions that reduce complexity, risk, and operational cost across the enterprise.
• Align workstation strategy with enterprise architecture and security standards to strengthen audit readiness.
• Collaborate closely with security, infrastructure, operations, and application teams to deliver integrated, enterprise‑ready solutions.
• Develop and maintain technology roadmaps, standards, and modernization plans for the client environment.
• Provide architectural guidance to engineering and operations teams to improve delivery quality, resilience, and reliability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology and at least five years of IT experience, or a High School Diploma/GED with ten years of IT experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing, private, public, government, or military environment.
• Willingness to work on‑site at the 3M Center in Maplewood, MN at least four days per week, with limited remote flexibility for distant candidates.
