IT Audit Manager

About the role

Avis Budget Group is looking for an IT Audit Manager to assess and strengthen the effectiveness of IT controls, governance and risk management across its complex technology landscape. The role leads IT and integrated audits with a focus on cybersecurity risks and operational technology controls, reporting to business and technology leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Support technology risk assessment, develop risk-based IT audit plans and programs, and lead or run IT audits covering mainframe systems, cloud platforms and enterprise solutions
• Audit cybersecurity, information security, ITGC, system interfaces and applications in a transaction-heavy rental environment
• Evaluate IT governance, security controls and emerging risks such as AI, machine learning, cloud computing, third-party providers and digital transformation
• Coordinate with external auditors on SOX controls testing
• Build team capabilities, ensure consistent audit quality and foster continuous learning
• Act as a trusted advisor, prepare audit reports for senior management and the Audit Committee, present findings to IT and executive leadership, and track remediation of audit issues

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Cybersecurity or a related field
• CISA certification
• 7-10 years of progressive IT audit, IT risk management or assurance experience, preferably in a large, complex organization
• Hands-on experience with complex IT and integrated audits, including ERPs, cloud environments, cybersecurity programs and mainframe systems

Required skills

• Understanding of COBIT, NIST, ISO 27001 and SOC2 frameworks
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), SaaS applications and data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA)
• Experience evaluating IT general controls, cybersecurity controls and third-party vendor controls
• Track record of evaluating emerging generative AI technologies
• Proficiency with audit management tools; preferred: Tableau, SQL, Alteryx, Power BI, ACL, IDEA
• Preferred: CISSP, CIA, CRISC, CISM, AWS, Azure, PCI QSA; understanding of mainframes, DevOps, Agile and SDLC

• Annual starting salary of $125,000 - $140,000 depending on market, skills and experience
