About the role
Protect Democracy is seeking two IT Associates to support its mission of safeguarding American democracy. In this newly created position you will work closely with the IT Manager, internal staff, and an external Managed Service Provider to maintain and improve the organization’s technology environment.
Key responsibilities
- Provide direct user support and monitor the MSP help‑desk system to ensure timely issue resolution.
- Purchase, inventory, and manage technology assets, ensuring all devices are enrolled in Mobile Device Management.
- Apply software updates promptly and monitor hardware, software, and security events.
- Assist with user onboarding and off‑boarding by creating and deleting accounts across platforms.
- Support systems administration in Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, and other applications.
- Deploy cyber‑security trainings, phishing and smishing tests, and contribute to special IT projects.
Required profile
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a help‑desk or systems‑administration role.
- Strong commitment to the organization’s mission to protect democracy.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with internal teams and external vendors.
Required skills
- Experience with Apple hardware and software.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 administration.
- Knowledge of Mobile Device Management solutions.
- Help‑desk support and ticketing system experience.
- Basic cyber‑security awareness, including phishing and smishing test deployment.
