IP Contract Administrator

About the role

The Texas A&M University System Offices are seeking an IP Contract Administrator to manage and negotiate intellectual property agreements across the system. This position supports technology evaluation, material transfers, confidentiality agreements, and IP provisions in sponsored research contracts.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and negotiate material transfer agreements, NDAs, inter‑institutional agreements, and IP licensing contracts.
• Provide contract drafting support to licensing professionals.
• Assist in creating policies and procedures for agreement review, negotiation, and compliance.
• Develop and maintain tools to track agreement metrics and identify trends.
• Ensure accurate docketing, data collection, and compliance reporting in the TAMUS agreements database.

Required profile

• Experience drafting and negotiating legal agreements related to intellectual property.
• Strong understanding of university policies, federal regulations, and IP licensing.
• Ability to work collaboratively with legal, licensing, and administrative teams.
