Interventional Pulmonology Faculty Physician

About the role

The Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at UT Tyler School of Medicine seeks a full‑time academic Interventional Pulmonologist to expand its interventional pulmonary program and support clinical care, education, and research across East Texas.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive interventional pulmonary services, including advanced diagnostic and therapeutic bronchoscopy.
• Perform robotic bronchoscopy, endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS), pleural procedures, and airway interventions.
• Collaborate with thoracic surgery, oncology, radiology, pathology, and lung cancer screening teams.
• Participate in pulmonary and critical care clinical activities as needed.
• Teach and mentor medical students, residents, fellows, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, and nursing staff.
• Engage in quality improvement, performance improvement, and program development initiatives.

Required profile

• Completion of an Interventional Pulmonary fellowship.
• Board‑certified or board‑eligible in Interventional Pulmonology and Pulmonary/Critical Care Medicine.
• Commitment to clinical excellence, multidisciplinary patient care, and academic medicine.
• Interest in medical education, program development, and scholarly activity.
