Internal Floater Behavior Technician for School

About the role

ABA Therapy Partners is seeking an Internal Floater Behavior Technician to provide immediate coverage and continuity of care in school settings. The role supports students with high‑risk behaviors and ensures therapy sessions remain uninterrupted.

Key responsibilities

• Step in for planned or last‑minute staff absences to deliver 1:1 therapy and individualized behavior programs.
• Manage escalated behaviors, implement emergency procedures, and apply CPI‑trained safe restraint techniques.
• Coach junior RBTs on complex Behavior Intervention Plans and provide breaks for frontline staff.
• Handle administrative tasks such as data collection, graphing, material preparation, and timely session note entry.
• Travel between multiple service locations within the designated regional radius.

Required profile

• Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential or advanced supervision degree (BCaBA or BCBA).
• 1–2+ years of hands‑on ABA experience (senior roles may require up to 11 years).
• Clean background checks (Live Scan, Checkr) and valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.
• Must reside in Barstow and be able to report to the school within 5‑10 minutes.
• Flexibility to cover assignments at any time and location.

Required skills

• ABA‑related software proficiency.
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification.
• Ability to implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
