Internal Audit & Financial Advisory Senior Consultant

About the role

Protiviti is hiring an Internal Audit & Financial Advisory Senior Consultant in Chicago. As a Senior Consultant you act as mentor, trainer and coach to interns and consultants, helping them complete project work plans, and you identify risks and efficiency opportunities. You may, at the direction of managers, take responsibility for decisions on project scope, staffing, deliverables and methodology.

Key responsibilities

• Mentor, train and coach interns and consultants on project work plans
• Identify areas of risk and opportunities to increase efficiency
• Build relationships with client personnel and professional associates
• Understand and apply audit methodologies and risk and control programs
• Use AI to support planning, fieldwork and reporting of internal audit and SOX activities

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline such as Accounting, Finance or a business-related field
• 2+ years in internal audit, consulting, assurance services, risk and control programs or a related field
• Supervisory experience, including mentoring, oversight and review of work
• Interest in a diverse portfolio of clients across multiple industries
• Professional certification such as CPA, CIA or similar preferred

Required skills

• Audit methodologies and deliverables: process flows, work programs, audit reports and control summaries
• Risk and control programs, and business processes such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Inventory and Revenue
• COSO, PCAOB and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance
• Microsoft Office, with emphasis on Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and secondary use of Visio and Access

What we offer

• Salary range of $84,000-$126,000, with a 10% bonus target
