Interline Baggage Ramp Agent – Full-Time (LAX)

About the role

As an Interline Baggage Ramp Agent at LAX, you will ensure that passengers' luggage is accurately transferred, staged, and routed to the correct destination. The position is fast‑paced, outdoors, and requires strong teamwork, safety awareness, and attention to detail.

Key responsibilities

• Safely lift, load, unload, and transport baggage from conveyor belts.
• Deliver passenger luggage to designated locations within required timeframes.
• Operate ground equipment such as tugs in congested areas.
• Use baggage scanners to verify correct routing.
• Monitor weather conditions and apply appropriate safety measures.
• Perform regular equipment inspections and basic maintenance.
• Comply with all federal, state, municipal, airport authority, and carrier safety and security regulations.
• Assist with additional duties to support overall operations.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Ability to pass pre‑employment drug test, physical capability test, and background check.
• Eligibility for airport SIDA badge, US Customs seal, and USPS security clearance.
• Willingness to work any shift, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Capability to lift up to 75 lb frequently and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, and squatting.
• Reliable attendance and strong interpersonal skills.
