Interaction Designer

About the role

The Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City’s in‑house creative team is seeking an Interaction Designer to lead strategic branding and communications campaign design across digital, print, video and 3‑D applications.

Key responsibilities

• Creates visual identities including logo lockups, mood boards, color palettes, iconographies, and illustration styles, and manages brand standards and asset libraries.
• Designs original assets for events, branded campaigns, publication layouts, web graphics and other creative applications such as UI/UX, multimedia and exhibit design.
• Supports the video studio with shooting, lighting, editing, photography, photo retouching and storyboarding.
• Develops illustrations, sketches, wireframes and prototypes to communicate user‑experience objectives across mobile, tablet and computer devices.

Required profile

• 0‑6 years of relevant experience with a strong portfolio demonstrating typographic and visual expertise.
• Bachelor’s degree in graphic/interactive design, visual communication or a closely related field, or equivalent experience.

Required skills

• Mastery of Adobe Creative Cloud.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Figma (beneficial).

What we offer

• Salary range $54,500‑$100,000 per year, depending on experience level.
• Full‑time permanent position with hybrid work flexibility (5 remote days per month).
