Intensive Support Social Worker – Child Welfare

About the role

Allies4Outcomes is seeking experienced child welfare professionals to join its Intensive Support Social Work Team (ISSWT) across North Carolina, with an immediate focus on the Charlotte area. The role involves direct practice, case management, and collaboration with county partners to improve outcomes for children and families.

Key responsibilities

• Complete backlog assessment cases and initiate new assessments.
• Support Family In‑Home Services and permanency planning through visits, case planning, and related activities.
• Participate in after‑hours and weekend on‑call rotations.
• Ensure practice aligns with federal and state law, policy, and best practices.
• Partner with counties to carry cases, with anticipated expansion in 2026.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a North Carolina CPS Social Worker or Supervisor.
• Forensic training preferred.
• Must not have been employed by Mecklenburg County DSS within the past 3 years.
• Deep knowledge of NC child welfare policy, practice standards, CQI processes, and family engagement.
• Strong technology skills and ability to work independently while representing company values.
• Demonstrated ability to manage change, support others, adapt to evolving county needs, and travel across North Carolina.
