Integrated Prevention Chief – Direct Hire Authority

About the role

The Integrated Prevention Chief provides technical and administrative direction for an installation’s prevention program, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements while meeting the needs of customers and the community.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and direct integrated prevention activities, guaranteeing alignment with statutory mandates.
• Develop and implement goals that merge organizational objectives with prevention priorities.
• Represent the prevention function across installation and functional area organizations.
• Establish and maintain effective partnerships with local community and installation stakeholders.
• Manage a complex, installation‑wide prevention program and serve as a strategic advisor on holistic risk‑reduction initiatives.
• Develop strategic plans that integrate prevention programs, promote protective factors, and enhance resiliency.
• Maintain professional proficiency through interaction with technical societies, academia, contractors, and R&D organizations.
• Oversee resource allocation, liaise with DAF program monitors and resource managers, and ensure accurate budget execution.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship; males must be registered for Selective Service.
• Ability to obtain and maintain the security clearance required for the position.
• Must obtain, maintain, and renew DoD Board of Prevention credentialing as specified by policy.
• Willingness to undergo drug testing and work non‑standard hours, including evenings, weekends, or holidays.
• Eligibility for PCS relocation under JTR and AF regulations.
