Integrated Communications Specialist

About the role

Zurich U.S. is looking for an Integrated Communications Specialist to join its Communications team in the Chicago area. The role focuses on creating and executing external communication content that supports business priorities, strengthens the company’s reputation, and engages key audiences across owned, earned, paid and shared channels.

Key responsibilities

• Develop high‑quality external content such as press releases, talking points, Q&As, media statements, executive remarks, social copy, award nominations and web copy.
• Support Communications Account Leads in planning, implementing and measuring integrated communication plans.
• Identify and manage media, speaking and award opportunities, draft pitches, respond to inquiries and report results.
• Prepare media training materials and coach executives and subject‑matter experts for interviews and public engagements.
• Track and report on communications performance, including media coverage and audience engagement metrics.
• Collaborate with subject‑matter experts and business partners to gather information and develop clear messaging.

Required profile

• Strong writing and editing abilities with a focus on clarity and conciseness.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines and adapt to shifting priorities.
• Comfort with digital communication tools and a willingness to learn technical insurance concepts.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Copilot.
