About the role
The Illinois Department of Insurance is hiring two Insurance Performance Examiner Trainees for its Market Conduct Division. This twelve‑month training program provides hands‑on experience in examining insurance company rates, rating schedules, programs, and procedures.
Key responsibilities
- Assist senior examiners in evaluating life, accident, and health insurance company practices.
- Gather and analyze data at assigned examination sites, both in‑state and out‑of‑state.
- Prepare reports summarizing findings and recommendations for supervisors.
Required profile
- Ability to travel as needed for examinations.
- Must report to the headquarters in Springfield during work hours.
- Authorized to work full‑time in the United States.
Required skills
- Understanding of the Illinois Insurance Code and related regulations.
- Basic analytical and reporting abilities.
