About the role
The University of Miami seeks a full‑time Instructor in Otolaryngology with a focus on Laryngology Surgery. The role combines clinical care, surgical training, and academic responsibilities within the Department of Otolaryngology.
Key responsibilities
- Provide peri‑operative patient care on both supervised and independent bases.
- Offer emergency coverage for otolaryngology patients as needed.
- Teach and mentor house officers, medical students, and paramedical staff.
- Deliver formal didactic sessions, including core curriculum lectures, grand rounds, and teaching conferences.
- Complete a research project suitable for publication.
Required profile
- Board‑certified or eligible otolaryngologist with expertise in laryngology surgery.
- Demonstrated ability to perform independent surgical procedures.
- Commitment to education and mentorship of trainees.
- Ability to meet university faculty requirements and research expectations.
