About the role

The Department of Mathematics & Statistics at Texas A&M University‑Corpus Christi seeks a dynamic, teaching‑focused Instructor to join a collaborative faculty of 26 members. This full‑time, 9‑month, non‑tenure‑track position begins in Spring 2027 and emphasizes undergraduate instruction, curriculum development, and student mentorship.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate mathematics and statistics courses, including developmental math.
• Develop and coordinate developmental mathematics courses and the Summer Bridge Program.
• Lead assessment and continuous‑improvement efforts for lower‑level courses.
• Participate in departmental and university service appropriate to a teaching‑focused appointment.
• Support student learning through effective teaching, mentoring, and engagement.

Required profile

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Mathematics or Statistics.
• Ability to follow departmental policies and meet shared instructional expectations.
• One or more years of teaching Developmental Math courses.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
