Assistant/Associate Professor of Industrial Engineering

About the role

The Department of Engineering at Texas A&M University‑Corpus Christi seeks a tenure‑track faculty member at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor in Industrial Engineering. The appointment begins Fall 2027 and focuses on manufacturing, production engineering, supply chain, and logistics.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the continued development of the Bachelor of Science program in Industrial Engineering, including curriculum design and teaching undergraduate courses.
• Develop an independent research program aligned with the candidate’s expertise and mentor graduate and undergraduate students.
• Assist in expanding the Master of Science in Engineering program and contribute to the newly approved Ph.D. in Engineering program.
• Participate in departmental service, including advising, committee work, and collaboration with industry partners.

Required profile

• Earned doctoral degree in Industrial Engineering or a closely related field (ABD acceptable if conferred by appointment).
• For Assistant rank: established record of scholarly publications and a demonstrated interest in research/teaching in manufacturing, production, or supply chain logistics.
• For Associate rank: at least five years of full‑time university faculty experience (four years as Assistant Professor) and a strong publication record.
• Preferred: experience in interdisciplinary research and collaboration with government or industrial research laboratories.
