Instructor – Nurse Aide/PT Care

About the role

The State of Georgia, through Southern Crescent Technical College, seeks a qualified Instructor to deliver accredited technical courses in Nurse Aide and Physical Therapy (PT) Care. The instructor will guide students toward competency in long‑term care services while upholding state and institutional standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver lesson plans for credited technical/occupational courses.
• Evaluate student progress against curriculum objectives and provide feedback.
• Maintain classroom supplies, equipment, and budget requests.
• Prepare and submit documentation required for accreditation and state licensing.
• Ensure safety and security in the training environment.
• Collaborate with students, staff, and other educators on instructional matters.
• Support recruitment, retention, and job placement initiatives.

Required profile

• Current Georgia Practical Nursing License.
• Minimum one (1) year of nursing experience.
• Bachelor of Science or Associate degree in Nursing from an accredited institution (preferred).
• Teaching experience at the post‑secondary level.
• Active participation in professional nursing or occupational organizations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Blackboard Learning Management System.
• Experience using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
• Strong computer and job‑related software skills.
