Instructor – Culinary Nutrition, Hospitality, and Tourism

About the role

The University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture seeks a full‑time Instructor to lead its Culinary Nutrition, Hospitality, and Tourism programs. This twelve‑month, non‑tenure‑track position is primarily focused on Extension activities (95%) with a small service component (5%).

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver instructional content in culinary arts, nutrition, hospitality management, and tourism.
• Provide Extension services, workshops, and community outreach related to food, hospitality, and tourism.
• Collaborate with the Assistant Vice President for Family & Consumer Science to align program goals with Extension priorities.
• Participate in curriculum development, assessment, and continuous improvement.
• Engage in limited service duties, including committee work and professional representation.

Required profile

• Relevant advanced degree (e.g., Master’s or PhD) in culinary arts, nutrition, hospitality, tourism, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated experience in teaching or Extension programming.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse community audiences.
• Commitment to the mission of the University of Arkansas Division of Agriculture.
