Instructional Designer II (Remote)

About the role

The Instructional Designer II will create, develop, and maintain dynamic eLearning, instructor‑led, blended, and performance‑support training solutions that enhance employee capabilities and productivity at Ryder. This remote position collaborates closely with subject‑matter experts and business owners to deliver customized learning experiences aligned with company goals.

Key responsibilities

• Creates learning content and assessments to support major training and assessment initiatives aligned with Ryder’s goals.
• Consults with subject‑matter experts and business owners to develop instructional objectives and customized learning solutions.
• Organizes projects to meet scope, timeline, and quality standards while collaborating on best practices for instructional technologies.
• Designs and develops learning project proposals and ensures solutions match desired outcomes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business, education, instructional design or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Five or more years of experience designing e‑learning, instructor‑led, blended or performance‑support training.
• Strong customer‑relationship and communication skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
• Proficiency with authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline and the Articulate 360 Suite.
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Access, Excel).
