Instructional Designer II

About the role

Provide expert assistance to faculty and instructors by planning, designing, and developing high-quality digital education content, supporting the pedagogic transformation of digital education at Texas A&M University‑Texarkana.

Key responsibilities

• Assist faculty in developing and redesigning online courses using learning technologies and the Canvas LMS.
• Collaborate with the LMS administrator to improve digital education processes and innovate new solutions.
• Support faculty, staff, and student training, creating guides and informational resources.
• Experiment with emerging technologies and provide technical support and troubleshooting for LMS and related tools.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• At least two years of instructional design experience.
• Knowledge of online course design principles, learning management systems, and instructional technologies.
• Ability to multitask, work cooperatively, and present information clearly.

Required skills

• Canvas or similar LMS.
• HTML and CSS.
• Multimedia authoring tools such as Camtasia, Adobe Cloud, Captivate, Storyline.
• Familiarity with open education resources (OER) and multimedia design principles.
