Instructional Design Librarian – Assistant or Associate

About the role

Texas A&M Libraries is seeking an Instructional Design Librarian at the Assistant or Associate level to create engaging online learning experiences that support information literacy and student success.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with librarians, faculty, and subject‑matter experts to design and deliver online tutorials and learning resources.
• Develop accessible, evidence‑based learning modules using Canvas, Articulate 360, and multimedia production tools.
• Maintain and expand a cohesive tutorial program for library services.
• Ensure compliance with web accessibility standards (WCAG) and ADA requirements.
• Leverage the university’s multimedia studio and instructional designer partnership to produce high‑quality content.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Library Science.
• Assistant level: no prior experience required; Associate level: at least 5 years of related experience.
• Demonstrated interest in learner‑centered design, accessibility, and collaboration.

Required skills

• Canvas learning management system.
• Articulate 360 authoring suite.
• Multimedia production and e‑Learning authoring tools.
• Knowledge of WCAG and ADA accessibility standards.
