Institutional Services Assistant – Campus Cleaning

About the role

The Institutional Services Assistant provides essential cleaning and maintenance support for office buildings, classrooms, conference rooms, auditoriums and common areas at the Grand Prairie Center and other campus locations. This full‑time position ensures a safe, tidy and welcoming environment for students, staff and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning of office spaces, classrooms, conference rooms, auditoriums and building common areas.
• Maintain cleanliness of exterior and interior areas as required.
• Follow established cleaning schedules and procedures.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to supervisors.
• Handle cleaning equipment and supplies responsibly.

Required profile

• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Capable of manual labor, including lifting up to 30 lb, bending and reaching without undue strain.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Prior experience in a comparable cleaning or facilities role.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Tolerance for solvent and cleaning‑solution odors.
