Inside Sales Representative (SDC) - Portable Coverage

About the role

HD Supply is hiring an Inside Sales Representative (SDC) for portable coverage, working remotely with an in-office presence as needed. Candidates must be within comfortable driving distance of a local facility and ready to start for the next training class on Monday, November 2nd, 2026. The role is based in New Braunfels, Texas or Jacksonville, Florida.

Key responsibilities

• Generate new sales opportunities and upsell customers by phone, email or other electronic communication.
• Oversee responses to customer order and quotation requests from outside salespersons, telephone, email and written or faxed correspondence.
• Find prospects for new sales through outbound calling and emailing.
• Track open sales orders, resolve issues and provide customer service and support.
• Provide product pricing using the pricing matrix and other resources, and develop code directives for certain products while keeping target margins.
• Perform estimating, take-off and proposal work as needed.
• Refer complex or unusual problems to the supervisor.

Required profile

• Generally 2-5 years of experience in the area of responsibility; 3+ years of sales or sales support experience preferred.
• Customer support and success experience; B2B sales experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of facilities products such as hardware, electrical and lighting is a plus.
• Organizational skills, professional phone etiquette and comfort in an inbound/outbound call environment.
• Independent, accountable self-starter with proven ability to meet or exceed sales goals in a remote/hybrid setting.
• HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred; specialized skills training or certification may be required.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Excel and Salesforce, or a similar CRM.
• Experience with consultative or solution selling preferred.
