Inside Sales Representative (Junior Sales Assistant)

About the role

The Jr. Sales Assistant role is designed to be a resource for key sales associates. This position requires learning and understanding of the company product offering and quoting system, as well as interaction with a wide variety of builders, contractors, homeowners and architects.

Key responsibilities

• Administer, verify, and submit accurate product orders by communicating with Senior Sales Assistants and customers, using product knowledge and procedures.
• Prepare activity reports using required systems and software for management.
• Use the Quoting Management system (PQM) and Salesforce to enter orders with complete and accurate information.
• Verify contracts/proposals to ensure the correct product is ordered, built, and delivered.
• Assist Senior Sales Assistants in calling and following up on leads, processing customer requests, and maintaining documentation.
• Analyze and organize office operations and workflow through periodic audits and feedback.
• Promote continuous improvement activities in the department.
• Manage recovery process for shortages and damaged products, facilitating ordering parts or scheduling service.
• Handle Architectural Services (PAS) requests and facilitate sample delivery/pick‑up.
• Occasionally work variable, non‑traditional hours and represent the company at events or showrooms.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Quoting Management system (PQM).
• Experience using Salesforce.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office.
