Inpatient Pulmonologist (Assistant/Associate Professor)

About the role

Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University is seeking a full-time Inpatient Pulmonologist to join the Division of Pulmonary, Allergy & Critical Care Medicine and the Jane & Leonard Korman Respiratory Institute (a collaboration between Jefferson and National Jewish Health). The position is at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor, with a focus on patient care, teaching and scholarly activity at Jefferson University Hospital.

Key responsibilities

• Provide inpatient pulmonary consultative care and ongoing management
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and collaborate with hospital teams
• Teach and mentor pulmonary and critical care fellows, residents and medical students
• Contribute to clinical research, quality improvement and scholarly activities
• Engage in the academic mission of a leading pulmonary division with 35 active faculty

Required profile

• MD or DO with completion of an accredited Pulmonary and Critical Care fellowship
• Board certified or eligible in Pulmonary Disease (Critical Care certification is a plus)
• Eligible for medical licensure in Pennsylvania
• Strong interest in inpatient pulmonary medicine and academic practice
