About the role

Johnson & Johnson is seeking an Engineering Co‑op to join the Innovation Excellence Team for Spring 2027 in Danvers, MA. This position provides foundational support in the development, testing, and lifecycle management of Impella Pumps, accessories, and related technologies within a regulated MedTech environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in basic design, testing, and validation activities under supervision.
• Support documentation and reporting of test results, issues, and product data.
• Contribute to minor design improvements and design‑for‑manufacturability initiatives.
• Help troubleshoot product issues, field feedback, and escalation investigations.
• Support activities related to product updates, validation, and compliance documentation.
• Collaborate with senior engineers, R&D, manufacturing, and quality teams on project tasks.

Required profile

• Junior, senior, or graduate student pursuing a degree in mechanical, biomedical engineering, or a directly related discipline.
• Eagerness to learn and develop technical skills in a regulated product environment.
• Good communication, teamwork, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to follow directions, support multiple tasks, and work collaboratively in a fast‑paced setting.
• Permanent authorization to work in the U.S. without future visa sponsorship.
