Infrastructure Specialist (IT Infrastructure Administrator)

About the role

The Infrastructure Specialist is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and optimizing enterprise IT infrastructure across on‑premise and cloud environments. You will work closely with IT leadership and business stakeholders to ensure secure, reliable, and high‑performing systems that keep manufacturing and production operations running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Administer network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs.
• Provide Tier 1–2 end‑user support for desktops, laptops, scanners, tablets, phones, and other endpoints.
• Maintain high‑volume printing and labeling systems in a manufacturing environment.
• Install, configure, patch, and maintain physical and virtual servers on Windows and Linux platforms.
• Manage storage systems, backups, and disaster‑recovery processes.
• Implement security policies, monitor vulnerabilities, manage SSL certificates, and support compliance standards.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts (PowerShell, shell, Perl) and monitor system performance.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors while keeping accurate documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 6–10 years of experience supporting IT infrastructure, networking, security, and operations.
• Strong hands‑on experience designing and supporting enterprise networks (Aruba, Unifi, HPE preferred).
• Experience in manufacturing or production environments.
• Proficiency with virtualization and cloud platforms (VMware, AWS, Azure).
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and Azure AD.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer‑focused mindset.
