Information Technology/Assurance Specialist III (TS/SCI)

About the role

MANTECH, a defense contractor since 1968, is seeking an Information Technology/Assurance Specialist III to join its team in El Segundo, CA. The specialist supports Special Access Programs (SAPs) serving SMC Directorates and/or AFSPC Operational Units, providing day-to-day support for Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and SAP activities. The position is full-time and on-site.

Key responsibilities

• Establish complex operational software configuration controls and system interfaces for assigned computer systems.
• Maintain file servers, firewalls, network access and Security Monitoring Systems, keeping system documentation current.
• Analyze and troubleshoot system anomalies to ensure optimal equipment performance and support operational tests.
• Review, prepare and update AIS accreditation packages and notify customers of changes affecting certification.
• Identify AIS vulnerabilities, implement countermeasures and perform routine AIS self-inspections.
• Ensure AIS and network nodes are operated, maintained and disposed of in line with security policies.
• Provide leadership, mentoring and quality assurance for team members, manage account creation and help desk support.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or additional 4 years of experience, plus 8+ years of total related experience.
• 6+ years of relevant SCI or SAP experience.
• Familiarity with security policy manuals such as ICDs, JAFANs, DoD Manuals and guiding policy documents.
• DoD 8570.01-M (IAT) Level 2 and (IAM) Level 1 certification within 6 months of hire.
• Current Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and willingness to undergo a counterintelligence polygraph.
• Able to sit stationary 50% of the time, lift up to 50 lbs and communicate frequently with colleagues, management and customers.

Required skills

• Preferred: completed JSIG and RMF training.
• Preferred: working knowledge of PL1 and PL2 systems; experience with PL3 and PL4 cross-domain solutions is desired.
• Preferred: minimum 3 years of SAP-related experience.

• Projected compensation of $128,000 to $214,400, depending on contract wage determination, experience, location and other factors.
