Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) - TS/SCI SAP

About the role

The Leidos Defense Group is seeking an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) for Langley AFB, supporting a major Military Intelligence Program aligned with the USAF Air Combat Command ISR mission. The ISSO provides TS/SCI Special Access Program (SAP) support to the Air Force Distributed Common Ground System (AF DCGS) and the 480th ISR Wing at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, VA.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily security accreditation and certification activities for TS/SCI SAP systems
• Monitor SAP systems and environments, update security plans, manage system changes and evaluate their security impact
• Oversee SAP account authorization, creation and management, and ensure personnel have the required clearances, authorizations and need-to-know
• Develop and deliver security education, training and awareness programs, ensuring personnel complete required training before receiving SAP access
• Report hardware, software or firmware changes to the ISSM and handle vulnerabilities and incidents per governing directives
• Provide inputs to the DCGS System Security Authorization Agreement (SSAA) and prepare on-site information assurance documentation
• Maintain system accreditation data in the XACTA database and create POA&Ms
• Recommend or implement corrective actions from Security Assessment Reports (SARs)
• Work with product developers, acquisition teams, security, IT and operations to coordinate IA solutions, and collaborate with AF DCGS stakeholders

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and 6 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's degree and 10 years of relevant operational experience; comparable experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
• Minimum of 4 years of information assurance experience
• Current TS/SCI clearance eligibility at start of employment
• Current DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II certification before start date
• Strong oral and written communication skills

• Desired: extensive experience with RMF, Assessment & Authorization (A&A) and Xacta IA Manager workflows

Pay range: $87,100 - $157,450.
