Information Systems Officer (Data Architect Unit)

About the role

The United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund – Pension Administration is seeking an Information Systems Officer to join the Data Architect Unit in New York. The incumbent will support the design, development, and maintenance of critical information systems that serve over 90,000 beneficiaries worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Manage projects that include feasibility studies, systems analysis, design, development and implementation of new applications.
• Develop detailed functional specifications and user documentation for major systems.
• Provide specialized advice to users, translate requirements into applications, and resolve integration issues.
• Maintain, upgrade and enhance existing data and user systems, troubleshoot problems and ensure system performance.
• Develop and maintain programs that integrate with interrelated systems while enforcing data security and access controls.
• Organise and execute unit and integrated testing, supporting user acceptance testing.
• Research, analyse and evaluate emerging technologies and recommend implementation strategies.
• Develop and maintain modern data integration and cloud solutions on platforms such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services or Google Cloud.
