Data Product and Engineering Consultant – Total Portfolio Analysis

About the role

The Office of Investment Management (OIM) of the United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund is seeking a senior consultant to lead the Total Portfolio View (TPV) dashboard initiative. The consultant will work directly with the Chief of Data to define data semantics, source assignments, technical requirements, and deliver a prototype dashboard.

Key responsibilities

• Develop a work plan, operating cadence and weekly status updates for the TPV project.
• Define the TPV semantic layer and data dictionary, documenting definitions, formulas, lineage and business context.
• Assign authoritative data sources, produce Data Points of View (POVs) and recommend source precedence.
• Write technical requirements, data models and prototype SQL/Python logic for the data platform backlog.
• Build an interactive TPV dashboard prototype in Power BI or Sigma and validate user interactions.
• Prepare a hand‑over pack and conduct knowledge‑transfer sessions for the OIM team.

Required profile

• Senior, autonomous consultant with experience in total‑portfolio or multi‑asset analytics.
• Strong capability in building data products and semantic layers.
• Ability to translate business needs into technical specifications and prototypes.
• Excellent communication skills to align investment, risk, operations and data stakeholders.
