Information Systems Officer (Cloud Engineer)

About the role

The United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund‑Pension Administration is seeking an Information Systems Officer with a focus on cloud engineering. Based in the One Dag Hammarskjöld building in Manhattan, the role supports the Enterprise Applications Section and reports to the Team Lead.

Key responsibilities

• Manage projects that include feasibility studies, systems analysis, design, development and implementation of moderately complex systems.
• Deliver implementation and operationalisation of enterprise platforms (e.g., ITSM and cloud‑based platforms) including configuration, integration, testing, deployment and post‑go‑live stabilisation.
• Provide end‑to‑end integration between pension administration systems and enterprise platforms such as ERP/finance, document management, workflow/BPM and ITSM, covering API design, data mapping, security and monitoring.
• Partner with service management teams to ensure ITIL‑aligned support processes (incident, problem, change, release, request fulfilment).
• Support cloud adoption and migration activities, designing integration patterns, managing dev/test/prod environments, enabling CI/CD pipelines and ensuring operational readiness.
• Develop detailed system and functional specifications and user documentation for major systems.
• Provide specialised advice on system architecture and integration.
