Information Security Specialist

About the role

The Information Security Specialist will support Itaú Unibanco’s security initiatives by performing technical security tasks, monitoring the IT security infrastructure, and ensuring compliance with bank policies and standards. Working under general supervision, the specialist will provide status reports to management and contribute to security projects.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver IT security activities to ensure high‑quality, cost‑efficient services aligned with business plans and standards.
• Monitor and control infrastructure data by implementing agreed rules and standards within business units.
• Conduct regular risk and vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and malware analyses, escalating findings as needed.
• Maintain security administration tasks such as managing expired passwords, privileged accounts, and dormant user accounts.
• Support the design, development, and documentation of new or redesigned processes and systems, ensuring customer requirements are met.
• Assist in the timely delivery of security projects, keeping them within scope and budget.
• Ensure compliance with all bank policies, procedures, standards, and applicable regulations.
• Produce and communicate routine security reports, highlighting any policy or standard breaches.

Required profile

• Under general supervision, able to work independently on defined security tasks.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to produce clear status reports for management.
• Experience supporting security projects and collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
• Knowledge of banking or financial services environments is advantageous.
