About the role

The Informatics Business Support Analyst 3 supports the Department of Public Health by performing complex administrative, statistical, financial, and operational data analysis to aid management decision‑making. This federally grant‑funded position ensures grant activities align with policies and contributes to public health initiatives across Georgia.

Key responsibilities

• Review grant policies and CDC guidelines to ensure compliance with Public Health Infrastructure Grant components.
• Maintain program workbooks, track budgets, expenditures, and update the General Ledger for inconsistencies.
• Analyze financial reports, develop monthly budget reports, and compile data for annual and federal reporting.
• Lead quarterly budget reviews, coordinate fund reallocations, and process requisitions, purchase orders, and invoices.
• Provide administrative support, prepare meeting minutes, and assist junior team members.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
• At least three years of experience in grant budgeting, financial monitoring, and reporting.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and collaborate across departments.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.
• Experience using state accounting and financial systems (e.g., GA@WORK).
• Financial data analysis and reporting.
