Infection Control Nurse

About the role
This position supports infection control activities within a healthcare setting and may be eligible for the Veterans Health Administration Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP).
Key responsibilities
Required profile
- English language proficiency (basic written and spoken).
- Graduate of an ACEN‑ or CCNE‑accredited nursing program (associate, bachelor or master’s bridge).
- Current, full, active and unrestricted registration as a professional nurse in a U.S. state, territory, Commonwealth or the District of Columbia.
- Eligibility for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) as defined by VHA policy, with application submitted within four months of appointment.
- For foreign‑educated nurses, a validated degree equivalency from an accepted agency (e.g., International Consultants of Delaware).

What we offer
- Potential participation in the VHA Education Debt Reduction Program with award amounts up to $200,000 and an eligibility period of one to five years.
- Temporary 120‑day appointment for Graduate Nurse Technicians, extendable up to two years while pursuing licensure.
