Industrial Operator – Process & Equipment

About the role

Veolia is seeking an Operator I to run and maintain multiple unit processes in an industrial facility. The role ensures safe, efficient operation of equipment and compliance with process specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Operate automatic and semi‑automatic machines, including pumps, engines, compressors, chemical feed systems and blowers.
• Monitor control panels, PLC units, flow meters, gauges and pressure instruments; make adjustments as required.
• Record operating conditions in shift logs and report any variances or malfunctions.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance, lubrication and minor adjustments on equipment.
• Conduct field tests, collect samples, prepare chemical solutions and monitor chemical supplies.
• Maintain good housekeeping, dispose of waste according to safety and environmental policies.
• Assist other areas as directed by management.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to read, write and comprehend English operational, safety and quality instructions.
• Basic mathematical calculation skills.
• Team‑oriented attitude and willingness to follow procedures.

Required skills

• Operation of automatic and semi‑automatic machinery.
• Pump, engine, compressor and blower operation.
• Control panel and PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) monitoring.
• Instrumentation monitoring (flow meters, gauges, pressure).
