Industrial Maintenance Mechanic

About the role

The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for maintaining and repairing mechanical equipment used in brick manufacturing. The role ensures equipment reliability, minimizes downtime, and supports a safe working environment.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, and repair machines such as kilns, extruders, conveyors, mixers, and crushers.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues, determine on‑site repairs or part replacements, and follow a preventive maintenance schedule.
• Document maintenance activities, report major issues, and assist with parts inventory.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to optimize equipment performance.

Required profile

• Trade certification or equivalent in industrial maintenance, mechanical engineering, or related field (preferred).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb, stand for long periods, and work in hot, dusty, noisy environments.
• Compliance with OSHA safety and health rules.

Required skills

• Knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical controls.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and work orders.
