Industrial Engineer – Composite (Aerosystems Kinston)

About the role

Airbus Aerosystems Kinston is seeking an Industrial Engineer specialized in composites to support the production of large‑scale composite aerostructures for the A350 XWB program. The role focuses on improving composite processes, ensuring compliance with Airbus standards, and aiding the ramp‑up of A350 production rates.

Key responsibilities

• Provide process security and advisory for composite manufacturing, ensuring alignment with AIPI/AIPS regulations.
• Review existing Airbus composite processes and drive implementation at the Kinston site.
• Collaborate with management to secure process compliance and share best practices across plants.
• Support and lead improvement projects that protect the A350 ramp‑up and propose new initiatives for process efficiency.
• Act as the primary point of contact for composite engineering topics within the Kinston facility.

Required profile

• Industrial engineering background with experience in composite manufacturing.
• Familiarity with aerospace process standards such as AIPI/AIPS.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective communication skills to interface with cross‑functional teams.
