Industrial Engineer – Aerospace Manufacturing

About the role

Airbus Aerosystems Kinston is looking for an Industrial Engineer to improve production efficiency of large composite aerostructures for the Airbus A350 XWB. You will work on the shop floor alongside skilled teams in aviation manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and design sequences of operations and workflow to improve plant efficiency.
• Establish methods for maximum utilization of production facilities, personnel, and product flow.
• Assist in accident‑prevention measures and manage training programs for production staff.
• Conduct cost‑control, cost‑reduction, inventory‑control, and production‑record studies.
• Develop and implement optimized product flow based on study results.
• Support facilities engineers in planning and design of facilities.
• Develop time standards and standard work for shop‑floor operations.
• Perform capacity analysis, tool and equipment utilization, and line balancing.

Required profile

• Background in industrial engineering or a related technical field.
• Experience in manufacturing or aerospace production environments.
