Industrial Cyber Security Engineer

About the role

As an Industrial Cyber Security Engineer you will protect manufacturing and production IT/OT environments, ensuring that digital infrastructure, connected assets and factory systems remain secure while supporting safe and efficient operations.

Key responsibilities

• Support secure IT/OT infrastructure and cybersecurity practices across manufacturing sites.
• Translate cybersecurity policies, standards and governance into practical implementation measures for factories and shop‑floor systems.
• Define secure architectures, hardening guidelines and protection measures for production equipment and connected assets.
• Conduct security assessments, vulnerability management, incident response and risk‑reduction activities in OT environments.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, IT, procurement and cybersecurity teams to integrate secure systems and supplier technologies.
• Contribute to compliance efforts with standards such as IEC 62443, ISO 27001, NIST, NERC CIP and CTPAT.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT Security, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in industrial cybersecurity, manufacturing IT/OT, plant automation or network engineering.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills to work across technical and shop‑floor teams.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without employer‑sponsored visa.

Required skills

• Knowledge of IEC 62443, ISO 27001, NIST, NERC CIP and CTPAT frameworks.
• Experience with vulnerability management, incident response and security assessments in OT environments.
• Familiarity with system hardening, secure architecture principles and IIoT/connected factory devices.
• Understanding of manufacturing infrastructure, IT/OT systems and network security technologies.
