Indirect Tax Accountant

About the role

Bosch is looking for an Indirect Tax Accountant who combines a continuous‑improvement mindset with strong communication skills. The role focuses on US and Canadian indirect tax compliance, tax technology initiatives, and governance across multiple business units.

Key responsibilities

• Complete timely indirect tax compliance and reporting for US state and local sales, use, gross receipts, property taxes, Canadian GST, VAT, and unclaimed property.
• Lead sales & use tax nexus determination, registrations, and renewals.
• Manage indirect tax payments, notices, and correspondence.
• Prepare Form W‑9 and annual federal Form 1099 reporting.
• Process and maintain the sales tax exemption certificate system.
• Drive process‑improvement initiatives to standardize and automate indirect tax activities.
• Support policy and procedure implementation in the indirect tax area.
• Assist with tax technology implementations and indirect tax audits.
• Provide technical research, analysis, and support for all tax compliance functions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in a corporate environment or at a national/regional accounting or indirect tax firm.
• 3+ years of US indirect tax compliance, audit, and research experience.
• 2+ years of proficiency with indirect tax systems (Vertex), ERP (SAP), and advanced Excel functions.
• 1+ years of experience with data‑analytic, desktop‑automation, data‑visualisation, and AI tools.
• Preferred: CPA or CPA candidate, Master’s degree, and experience with Canadian indirect tax.
