About the role
Reliable Safety & Flow Corporation is seeking a self‑motivated Staff Accountant to join its Oak Brook, Illinois headquarters. The role works closely with business leaders to ensure financial statements comply with US GAAP while contributing to a collaborative culture.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain account reconciliations and resolve reconciling items in partnership with other functions.
- Create journal entries with supporting documentation.
- Analyze financial statements, investigate discrepancies and variances.
- Support the month‑end close process.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Prepare and communicate monthly and ad‑hoc reports.
- Collaborate with external auditors and assist on special projects.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA preferred.
- 0–2 years of relevant experience.
- 1–2 years of experience with a large ERP system (Dynamics 365 preferred).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft applications.
- Experience with data‑analysis tools such as Power BI.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a team environment.
- Detail‑oriented, deadline‑driven and goal‑focused.
